Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers state on Wednesday charged his newly sworn-in commissioners to demonstrate commitment to duty and be loyal at all times.
He gave the charge at the swearing-in of the 14 commissioners and a Permanent Secretary in Port Harcourt.
The swearing-in is coming a month after he dissolved his cabinet members.
“We demand 100 percent loyalty in the course of your duty to achieve success in our services to people,” he charged them.
Wike urged the commissioners and permanent secretary to see their jobs as an opportunity to serve the people and not to enrich themselves.
He also urged them to exhibit responsible character, while carrying out their duties, saying that they should desist from unguarded utterances at all times.
According to him, anyone found wanting will be dropped from the cabinet.
